American Idiot goes on a photo binge

So my internet was down all of last night, so I wasn't able to post last night. Sorry anyone that actually reads my blog daily.

Anyway, so yesterday I went in to get myself checked for STD's. The RN recognized me from the last time I got checked up. Kinda scary. I realized with all the stupid shit I do, I am kinda recognizable, and thus should cut down on the stupid shit. HA!

Actually, before all of that, I went with Chris Dong to pick up Green Day's American Idiot. I feel like I posted this before, but all I can say is that American Idiot completely reaffirmed Green Day as one of my favorite bands of all time. I can't really pick a favorite band, but my top 5 favorite bands (in order as of now, as it changes as new albums are released and concerts are seen):

1. Green Day
2. Alkaline Trio
3. Linkin Park
4. Anti-Flag
5. Blink-182

From my first CD (Dookie) to now, Green Day and Blink have been with me so far. LP and the Trio totally infested my life, and after seeing Anti-Flag a few years ago, I totally became a fan. They make me want to keep pursuing music even though I'm tone deaf and inept at guitar. Sigh. They sooooo rock hard.

By the way, if you haven't got this yet, American Idiot is such a great album. The title track is really great, but the real gem (as I listen to it now) is actually "Jesus of Suburbia." It's a 9 minute song with four parts that just rocks like nothing else.

Today I got my digital camera in. I'm itching to start taking artsy pictures and stuff. Or nude ones. Either way, I think I'll be having fun with the camera over the next few days. Score.

Between NSU and Rice I'm averaging around 50 emails a day. Granted, I've been sending out emails that I need replies to recently, but still. Between spam and just tons of stuff in general, it takes me at least fifteen minutes just cleaning it out. Now that I think about it, I'm just glad I'm not Annalyn, who had like 400+ unread messages when she checked her email on Tuesday.

Speaking of Annalyn, her, Sun, and Kaelynn and I studied together last night. I got some studying done, but then things turned into telling ghost stories and talking about potential sexual partners. (or the lack thereof).

So I've snagged a study dealy with the girl in my ESPM class. She actually found me on the facebook and added me first, and then I IM'd her, and since she read my last post, she even quoted it in her xanga. So I think we're both interested in each other, but we're both not really taking things too seriously at all. Good for me. Hopefully good for her.

Lab went obscenely long today. Although my lab is supposed to be 1-3, I didn't get out until like 3:30. UG. Not cool. Also, I could barely stay awake in classed today. Thank Buddha I get to at least sleep until 10 tomorrow morning.

I may head over to the Asian Art Museum in the city tomorrow afternoon, then race back to hit up the Bear's Lair with the Family. I got to watch the season finale of Reno 911!, but I couldn't stay, as I had to head back here to finish my paper (due tomorrow), that I just finished. As my mind takes a break from Filipino immigrants, I will blog, and then proofread and go to sleep.

Congrats to Oliver Wang for getting a new car. Yes, he was my instructor for the summer, and now I stalk him online by reading his blog.

On a side note, "Boulevarde of Broken Dreams" is such a good song. It's track 4 on American Idiot, and although it's not quite Green Day's classic stuff, it's still distincly them, but only all grown-up. Goddamn, it's solid. Sigh.

I want to film a short film using claymation. I may do this sometimes when I'm not crazy busy. Tonight's not the night.

Oh yeah, the night before Thanksgiving, I'm going to see Green Day live in SF. How cool is that? Seriously, it's pretty damn cool. Like, sub-zero. There are rumors of them playing with some really cool bands (who I can't remember at this moment), but I remember being really excited that I might see a totally awesome show. Cool.

I'm publishing a new chapbook. It will be on sale via me. So email me if you want one. I'm also running a print of 20 for Hellen Jo to sell at APAture. Hopefully she can sucker some fools into buying my book. Hawt. Oh, and if you're interested, the title for this one is "Tear Drop Down." As opposed to "Boy In Corner," my first chapbook. Yeah, you don't care, but I'm telling you anyway.

BBQ chips have been my life blood the past two days.

Okay, I'm done for the night. Seriously. Back to proofreading the paper. Goodnight y'all, and I'll keep you updated on the results of my STD test. I know I'm already HIV negative , and not infected with syphillus or genital warts, so I will find out if I have chlamydia or gonorrhea (both which can be asymptomatic in men) by tomorrow. I like how I provide you all with way more information that you want to know.

Okay, goodnight everyone.
